Ettenmoors are highlands in J. R. R. Tolkien's fictional world of Middle-earth , west of the Misty Mountains and north of the Coldfells . It was a location of warfare between the forces of Númenor and Angmar in the Third Age.
In The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-earth II , The Ettenmoors is the main base of the goblins, and the home of Gorkil the Goblin King. Glorfindel and Glóin lead an attack on the goblin fortress and destroyed it.
